You and your guide will take our private transportation to the first stop, the Alpaca Awanacancha farm . Here, you will see the traditional animals of the Incas: llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanaco. The guide will provide you with information about this place, he will show you an exhibition of potatoes and a textile center, showing how wool is woven and colored ( good quality alpaca wool is sold).

Then we will go to the Sacred Valley Viewpoint to enjoy impressive views and take photos. Next we will visit the famous Pisaq Market where women come down from the Andean towns to sell their textiles and vegetables. The market is open every day, but is busiest on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

After the visit to the market we will continue the trip to the Inca archaeological site of Pisaq , located on top of the Pisaq mountain in the Sacred Valley. The guide will take you to the most impressive places, then we will continue through the valley for approximately 45 minutes until we reach Urubamba , where we will have lunch. You will have an incredible variety of fresh dishes, served in the form of a buffet.

After lunch, we will go to Ollantaytambo , where the second heaviest Inca monoliths are found. The archaeological center has an incredible Temple of the Sun, the Moon and the Temple of the 10 Niches, this living Inca city shows narrow walkways lined with water channels. If your departure train is at 7 pm, you will have time to explore more of the city and enjoy dinner. On the other hand, if your departure train is at 3:36 pm, you should go to the train station and take it at Aguas Calientes where you can have dinner there (the train schedule will depend on the time in advance with which you have reserved and/or its availability).

The trip to Aguas Calientes is less than two hours, descending into the Cloud Forest where you will see orchids, bromeliads and ferns. Our representatives will meet you outside the train station upon arrival and take you to the hotel.

On this day you will visit Machu Picchu, the famous Sacred City and Inca civilization.

The guide will tell you the best time to start the day, since most people prefer to get up at 4 am to walk to the bus station to take one of the first buses to Machu Picchu.

It can be nice to get to the ruins as soon as they open at 6 am to appreciate the sunrise over the archaeological complex as the sun rises, after a 25-minute bus ride to Machu Picchu.

On this day, the guide will lead you to a strategic point where you can observe the Inca architecture of Machu Picchu, and they will go to a well-sought place from where you will observe the sunrise (depending on the weather). You will be able to take your postcard photo of Machu Picchu before more hikers arrive.

Then, we will start the two-hour guided walking tour, exploring all the famous places of this impressive Inca citadel such as the Temple of the Sun, The Royal Tomb, The Intiwatana (sundial rock), Main Square, Temple of the 3 Windows, The artisan sector, The Temple of the Condor and many others.

After the tour, you’ll have time to explore the ruins on your own, or if you’ve been wanting to hike Huayna Picchu * (must be reserved in advance, as they sell out and cost $75 per person), your guide will tell you where this hike will begin. walk, which will not take more than 2 hours round trip.

Machu Picchu Mountain is also another hike, instead of Huayna Picchu Mountain. This hike is more difficult and takes three hours minimum, round trip (with an additional cost of USD $75 per person).

For your return from Machu Picchu, we recommend that you return to Aguas Calientes no later than 2 hours before so that you can enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants.

Make sure you arrive at the train station 30 minutes before your departure. Our train schedule is generally at 4:20 pm to Ollantaytambo, where you will then take our private transportation for another two departures back to Cusco.

If you wish to upgrade the train to Vistadome class service, you will have the option of departing at 4:43 pm or 5:23 pm. Both Vistadome trains will take you to the Poroy station, where our driver will pick you up and drive you back to Cusco.

Note : The Inca site of Machu Picchu is different from the Machu Picchu mountain. When most people refer to Machu Picchu, they are referring to the archaeological site. Machu Picchu Mountain requires a separate permit to climb. Let us know if you are interested and we can book for you. It must be done in advance and is part of your entry to the site.
