The Salkantay one day trek to the Humantay Blue Lagoon begins with your search very early in the morning (4 AM) at the hotel or Air BnB within the city of Cusco.

The ride itself is awesome! You will be able to appreciate wonderful views of the mountains as we go, passing through some local communities and corn fields on the way to the beginning of the trekking.

The drive to Soraypampa is approximately 3 hours, and we will start our trek at an elevation of 3800 meters / 12,460 feet. Here, surrounded by majestic mountains and valleys, your team of hikers will prepare a delicious breakfast so you can have plenty of energy before starting our ascent.

The uphill walk along the Salkantay trek is 1½ to 2 hours. The guide will show you the flora and fauna along the way, with moments of rest to be able to take perfect photos of the snow-capped peaks.

At the top is the treasure! The magnificent Blue Lagoon of Humantay, also known as Laguna Humantay, which is an incredible and unforgettable shade of intense turquoise with the snow- capped glacial mountains of Humantay in the background.

Of course, the descent is usually a little faster than the initial ascent, and when we reach the bottom, we will have a good lunch prepared on the spot, to share after this wonderful visit.

Then we will begin with our 3-hour return to Cusco in our private transport.
